Clyde
E. Jacks, Sr., of Deer Park, TX, died of complications from a
stroke on Wednesday, October 23, 2002, at Bayshore Medical
Center in Pasadena, Texas.
Mr. Jacks was born in Montgomery County,
Mississippi, on October 7, 1914. He graduated Salutatorian from
high school and attended Hines Jr. College in Mississippi. He
retired from CE Lummus (now ABB Lummus Global) as a Project
Director in 1979.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents
Nathaniel "Than" Bedford Jacks and Julia Evelyn Hayward Jacks,
four sisters, eight brothers and a granddaughter, Misty Dawn
Jacks.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65
years, Eunice M. Jacks, children Clyde E. Jacks, Jr. and wife,
Nancy of Sugar Land, TX; Ethel Rebecca Jacks Littlejohn and
husband, Keith of Deer Park, TX; and David Jacks of Claremont,
California. "Pepa" is also survived by six grandchildren:
Randall Keith Littlejohn and wife, Pam; Jerald Alan Littlejohn
and wife, Karen; Mark Aaron Littlejohn and wife, LaDonna; Clyde
E. "Trey" Jacks, III and wife, Samantha; James Taylor Jacks and
wife, Linda; Heidi Jacks Mitchell and husband, Keith; and nine
great grandchildren: Amanda Rae Littlejohn, Chad Randall
Littlejohn, Blake Aaron Littlejohn, Joshua Aaron Littlejohn,
Alyssa Marie Littlejohn, Sarah Katherine Littlejohn, Madison
Brook Mitchell, Madeline Grace Jacks, and Ethan James Jacks.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on
Sunday, October 27, 2002 at Grandview Funeral Home on Spencer
Highway in Pasadena with Reverend Mike McMahon of Thomas Avenue
Baptist Church officiating. The family received relatives and
friends on Saturday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the
funeral home.
