Funeral services for Don R. Willman, 60,
beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, of Sugar
Land, TX were held Saturday, May 18, 2002 in the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn
Funeral Home with interment following in Greenlawn Memorial Park
in Rosenberg. Reverend Barry Loving officiated the services.
Don was born November 25, 1941 in Dallas,
Texas. He was a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington
in January of 1965 and South Texas College of Law in 1973. Don was
a successful businessman, lawyer and mediator until his retirement
in 1999, at which time he became an avid golfer. On any given day
he was always on the golf course. He was a very caring man who
helped many people in their times of need, yet, it was his family
who meant so much to him, that will love and cherish him the most.
Don passed away peacefully at St. Luke's
Episcopal Hospital in Houston, TX on May 16, 2002 after a
courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years,
Barba Willman; sons, Chris Willman and wife, Denise, of Spring,
Mark Willman and wife, Sharon, of Bridge City; daughter, Jill
Troxell and husband, Scot, of Pampa; grandchildren, Ashley,
Whitney, Emilie, Caysie, Kailyn, Alexis, Bailey, Blayne, Paige,
and Cason; parents, Rufus and Odell Willman of Tyler; brother,
John Willman and wife, Terry, of Beaumont; sisters, Nita Walker
and husband, Ed, and Deb Smith and husband, Joe, of Tyler. He is
also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Foote and the
staff of the 20th floor of St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital for
taking care of Don during his illness.
