Alice T. Smith was born October 23, 1913 in Caldwell, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Sugar Land and a retired worker of the Imperial Sugar Company. She passed away May 08, 2002 at her Sugar Land home.

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2002 in the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home and interment followed in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Rev. Jim Thomas of Faith Lutheran Church officiated the services.

Alice is preceded in death by her husband Howard A. Smith and a son, Kenneth Boettcher. She is survived by her grandsons, Jerry Lee Boettcher and wife Cammie, Robert Paul Boettcher; great-grandchildren, Ashley Mae Boettcher, Brandon Lee Boettcher, Crystal Mae Boettcher, Jason Boettcher. Alice will also be lovingly missed by her caregivers, Eugene Wiederhold, Rhonda Schuelke, Helen Heitman, Brandy Robberson, Tina Graves, Herbert Michalek and Julie Willis. Pallbearers were: Don Elliott, Danny Kountz, Henry Heitman, Curtis Campbell.
