Funeral services for Edward F. Rychlik,
76, of Schulenburg, Texas were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 3,
2000 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with interment
following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Father Dan Warden
officiated with Father Timothy Kosler co-celebrating.
A rosary service was held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 2 at Davis-Greenlawn
Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
Edward was born January 12, 1924 in Taylor, TX to Frank Rychlik and
Mary Dubec Rychlik. He passed away June 30 in Schulenburg, TX. He
retired after 10 years with the City of Houston. He was a member of
St. Rose of Lima in Schulenburg and the Knights of Columbus in Weimer.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the
American Legion Post 271 in Rosenberg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Rychlik.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Rose Marie Roznovsky
Rychlik of Schulenburg; sisters: Margie David of East Bernard; Alice
Borski and Mary Buri of Houston; brothers: Lee Rychlik and Frank
Rychlik of Stafford; Bennie Rychlik of Sugar Land; Gilbert Rychlik,
Jody Rychlik and Johnny Rychlik of Sealy; Louis Rychlik of Houston;
and Albert Rychlik of Georgetown and numerous nieces, nephews, other
relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers were his brothers: Lee, Frank, Bennie, Gilbert, Jody,
Louis, Johnny, and Albert Rychlik.
Visitation began at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 2 at Davis-Greenlawn
Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. (FM 2218 & Highway 59),
Rosenberg, 281-341-8800.
