Frances Ann "Fran" Metcalf, 57,
passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2001 in a Houston hospital. She was born
September 26, 1943 in New York, New York to Julian V. and Julia Bielski.
Formerly of Ripon, Wisconsin, Mrs. Metcalf was residing in Missouri
City, Texas at the time of her death. Mrs. Metcalf was a member of St.
Laurence Catholic Parish in Sugar Land. Fran enjoyed Hollywood and the
movies, and was an avid movie collector. She will also be remembered as
a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and an inspiration to
persistence and being yourself.
She is survived by her husband, Del Metcalf; daughter, Kristen
Metcalf and her husband, Bill Funk and their son Palmer Funk, of Sugar
Land, TX; son, Dr. David Metcalf and his wife, Lauren and their
daughters, Morgan and Brooke Metcalf, of Hutchinson, Kansas; and her
precious dogs, Heidi and Holly.
The family received friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday,
March 9, 2001 in the Essex Room of The Settegast-Kopf Co. at Sugar
Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway (William's Trace exit), Sugar Land, Tx.
