On Monday, October 9, 2000 Vance Reed
Littlefield of Missouri City went home to be with Jesus after fighting
a tough physical battle. He was born on November 13, 1940 and lived a
full life serving His Lord. He is survived by his wife, Jean
Littlefield, his three children, Steve, Doug, and Heather, and their
spouses, as well as his seven grandchildren, Justin, Savannah, Collin,
Austin, Carson, Riley, and Will, who will miss their Pa Field, and his
two sisters, Lois Horner of Georgia, and Lynn Silber of New Jersey. He
was preceded in death by his father, Vance Reed Littlefield, Sr. and
his mother, Ruth Bender Littlefield.
Reed followed the example of Jesus by serving faithfully in Quail
Valley Church as an usher, in prison ministry, and in his surrounding
community in many different ways. In honor of Reed’s Kingdom-IMPACT,
the family requests donations be made in his name to Amigos de Dios,
c/o Borger, 3203 Deer Creek Drive, Sugar Land, TX 77478. Psalm 116:15
says, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His
Godly ones." We will miss our husband, father, example, friend,
and Pa Field, but look forward to sharing a mansion with him in
Heaven.
