Susan Rains, 50, passed away in her sleep at her residence in Sugar Land, Texas on January 15, 2005. She was born on January 27, 1954, in Roswell, New Mexico to Robert Edmond McCluskey, Jr. and Margie McCluskey.

Susan, artist, poet and teacher is survived by her husband of 30 years, Mark A. Rains; daughter, Angela Peugnet; son, Christopher Rains; mother, Margie R. McCluskey; father, Robert Edmond McCluskey, Jr.; brother, Robert Edmond McCluskey, III; sister, Nancy Green.

A memorial service was held at one o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, January 22, 2005, in the Sanctuary of The Sugar Land First United Methodist Church, 431 Eldridge Rd., Sugar Land, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her name be sent to the church. Donations will be used for benevolent missions in Ft. Bend County.
