Mrs. Sue Marie Myers McNair, age 63, of Crockett/Grapeland area, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2002 in Houston County. Mrs. McNair was born March 31, 1939 in Jackson, Mississippi and had lived in the Crockett/Grapeland area for the past 4 years, previously residing in Sugar Land. She attended Blue Mountain College in Blue Mountain, Mississippi, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Crockett. Mrs. McNair was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren, preparing meals for visitors and family, nurturing flowers, playing with her dog Shadow, visiting friends, and traveling.

Survivors include: husband of 44 years, Will L. McNair of Crockett; children - Michael K. McNair and wife, Carmen of Leander, Bryan C. McNair and wife, Stacey of Huntsville, Dianne E. Moore and husband, Anthony of Sugar Land; grandchildren - Jennifer McNair, Jeffrey McNair, Chris McNair, Joshua Moore, Jeremy McNair, Nicholas Moore, Lauren McNair, Kaitlyn McNair; brother - Marvin Myers and wife, Vern of Ft. Worth; sisters-in-law - Pat Meskimen and husband, John of Gautier, Mississippi, Janice Launius and husband, Lee of Jackson, Mississippi, Myra McNair of Little Rock, Arkansas; brother-in-law - Harley McNair and wife, Lorraine of Princeton, New Jersey; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by parents, Daniel Forest and Mary Buford Myers of Jackson, MS; brother, Charles Myers of Jackson, MS; and brother-in-law, Jerry McNair.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sue Marie Myers McNair were held Tuesday, October 8, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Crockett with Rev. David Valentine and Dr. John LaNoue officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen Memorial Park in Crockett, TX.
