Roy
Paul Baker, age 49, born October 3, 1954, a native of Beeville,
Texas, passed away after a 19 year courageous battle with brain
cancer, at his home in Sugar Land. Roy graduated from Beeville
High School in 1973. He was a private investigator and owner of
Condor Security Inc. Roy loved to tell jokes and make people
laugh. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking with his
family and friends. Roy married Donna Knickle Baker 20 years ago
on July 9, 1983 in Wilmington, MA. He was a loving and devoted
husband, father and Christian. He was preceded in death by his
parents, Paul and Nancy Burkhardt Baker. Survivors include his
loving wife, Donna; and their children, Ryan and Jennifer;
sisters, Sharon Bellis of Beeville, TX, Paulette Williams of
Lake Jackson, TX, and Debra Segovia of Laredo, TX; father-in-law
and mother-in-law, Clifford and Barbara Knickle of
Massachusetts; brother-in-law, Mark Knickle and his wife Tracy;
sisters-in-law, Laura Byers and Cheryl Knickle; godfather to
Brendon Knickle; twelve nieces and nephews; and eleven great
nieces and nephews. A visitation with the family was held
Tuesday, October 14, 2003 in the Chapel of Earthman Funeral
Directors Southwest, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. Mass of
the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October
15,2003 at St. Laurence Catholic Parish, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd.,
Sugar Land.
The family would like to thank all of their
relatives, church and community, friends, doctors, and medical
staff throughout the years, for their loving support and
generosity.
