NICOLE
KATHLEEN WEST, age 19, of Sugar Land, passed away in Colorado as the
result of an accident. She was born on July 3, 1984 in Casper,
Wyoming. She graduated from Clements High School and was a student
ambassador for the US through People to People. Nicole also was the
recipient of the award for Accepting the Challenge of Excellence by
the Exchange Club of Sugar Land. Nicole was a member of the Greater
Houston Athletic Trainers Society and the Fellowship of Christian
Athletes.
She loved to travel, she visited over 35 countries,
lived in 10 different states and 4 countries. Nicole loved spending
time outdoors and will always be remembered as a cowgirl at heart. She
is survived by her parents, Christopher and Natalie West; her brother,
Michael West; grandparents, Robert and Martha West, of Coeur D'Alene,
Idaho and Gary and Margaret O'Hara of Aurora, Missouri; numerous
aunts, uncles and cousins, and her black Lab and best friend, Diesel.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family
Wednesday, July 30, 2003 from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM at The Settegast-Kopf
Co. at Sugar Creek (Williams Trace Exit). A Funeral Service will be
held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Christ United Methodist
Church, 3300 Austin Parkway, Sugar Land with The Rev. Tom Pace,
officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. In lieu
of flowers, the family requests that Memorial contributions be made in
Nicole's memory to the Fort Bend County Women's Shelter, 1120 Highway
90 A, Richmond, TX 77469.
