Funeral services for Lue Eva Brooks of Sugar Land will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 20, 2006 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Rev. John Weaver will officiate the services.

Visitation was held from 5:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 19, 2006 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

Lue was born July 9, 1923 in Eldridge, TX to Pearl Edith (Picket) and Ellis Elgan Brooks, Sr. She passed away December 16, 2006 in Sugar Land, TX. She was a member of Great Oaks Baptist Church in Richmond. Lue did a lot of traveling with the church choir. She was a superb seamstress and loved sewing her own clothes and doll clothes for the Catholic Bizarre.

Lue is preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Ellis Brooks, Sr. and her brother, Ellis E. Brooks, Jr.

Lue is survived by her brother, Donald Brooks and wife, Phyllis, of Sugar Land; nephews, David Michael Brooks of Sugar Land, Kenneth Brooks of Sugar Land, Craig Ellis Brooks and wife, Delores, of Sugar Land, and David Keith Brooks and wife, Debbie, of College Station; niece, Karen Edwards and her husband, Raul Samaniego, of Sugar Land; grand nephews and nieces, Richard Brooks of College Station, James Edwards III of Rosenberg, Heather Edwards and husband, Kyle Costabile, of Rosenberg, Lauren Samaniego of Sugar Land, and Brandon Samaniego of Sugar Land; great grand nephew and niece: Trevor Costabile of Rosenberg and Sierra Ardis of Mississippi; along with other relatives and many friends.
