Betty
Ann Hemphill, daughter of Willie and Elsa Lobpries of
Schulenburg, Texas lost her battle with cancer on May 23,
2005 at the age of 66.
Betty Ann is survived by her husband of
48 years, Lloyd D. Hemphill of Schulenburg, Texas. She is
also survived by her children, William J. Hemphill and wife,
Lori of Port O'Connor, Texas; Susan A. Hemphill of
Schulenburg, Texas; Carol D. Voelkel and husband, Ronnie of
Richmond, Texas and Daniel J. Hemphill and wife, Colleen of
Atlanta, Georgia, as well as her mother, Elsa Lobpries of
Schulenburg, Texas, and two sisters, Billie Jean Borski of
Sugar Land, Texas and Dolores Krampota of Houston, Texas.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
After retiring from Fort Bend ISD, Betty
Ann and her husband Lloyd moved to Schulenburg and enjoyed
their great love for gardening. Betty Ann will be sadly
missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A visitation was held on Thursday, May
26, 2005 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Marrs-Jones-Newby
Funeral Home, located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop,
Texas, followed by the funeral at 2:00 p.m. The burial took
place at Bateman Cemetery in Red Rock, Texas.
