Funeral services for Francisca Garza Velasquez, 75, of Stafford, TX, were held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Missouri City, TX. Father Ted Valencia officiated the services. Interment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg, TX.

Francisca was born June 27, 1927 in Brownsville, TX to Delfino Garza and Guadalupe Garza Gonzalez. She passed away peacefully October 25, 2002 at her residence. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister and belonged to the Guadalupa–as Society.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ypolito D. Velasquez; her parents; her son-in-law, Dr. Matthew Ang; and her brothers, Miguel and Carlos Garza.

Francisca is survived by daughters: Hope Vela and her husband, Robert, of Stafford, TX; Oralia Roppe and her husband, Paul, of Sugar Land, TX; Susie Vasquez of Houston, TX; Elisa Bautsch and her husband, Robert, of Colorado; Sandra Ang of Sugar Land, TX; son: Ypolito D. Velasquez and his wife, Naomi, of Houston, TX; sisters: Locadia Garza, Carmen Garza, Dolores Herrera; brothers: Manuel Garza, Leonardo Garza, Roberto Garza; 18 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.
