Edith K. "Deedee" Still, 87, of Sugar
Land, Texas passed away suddenly on March 12, 2005. She was
preceded in death by her beloved husband James O. "Bud"
Still and her mother, Emily P. Griffiths. Deedee was born in
Patchogue, New York, where she resided until moving with her
husband, Bud, to the Sugar Land area upon their retirement.
She is survived by her daughter Judith A.
Beard; granddaughters, Debbie Skolaski; Jamie Seymour and
her husband Chris; Lise Beard and her life-partner Alice;
great-grandchildren, Robert Skolaski, Kristen Skolaski,
Emily Davidson, Beth Davidson, and Katy Davidson.
Deedee was a dedicated mother,
grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always had pictures
of her grandchildren on hand to show anyone interested. She
was very proud of all of her grandchildren and enjoyed
telling everyone about their accomplishments.
Deedee resided at the Terrace at First
Colony where she enjoyed her knitting group, bingo and daily
movie time. She was an eternal optimist who saw the good in
people and knew no stranger as was evidenced by her large
collection of friends.
She was a member of St. Catherine of
Sienna Episcopal Church in Missouri City, Texas. She had a
caring nature and loved children as shown by the fact that
she frequently visited the church nursery on Sundays.
The family would especially like to thank
Betty Karacan for being such a devoted and caring friend to
Deedee. Her endless and selfless efforts are deeply
appreciated.
A memorial service will be held on
Sunday, April 3, 2005 at St. Catherine of Sienna Episcopal
Church located at 3825 Cartwright Road, Missouri City, Texas
