Services for Mrs. Betty Jo Collins, 70, of Chandler, Texas were held on Monday, April 7, 2003, 4:00 p.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Schuler officiating. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery Westheimer, Houston, Texas on Tuesday, April 8 at 2 p.m. under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home, Chandler, Texas.

Mrs. Collins died April 4, 2003 at a local Tyler hospital. She was born April 19, 1932 in Sadie, Oklahoma. She was a former resident of Fort Bend County and was a seamstress and homemaker.

Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Dean E. Collins. She is survived by sons: Jim and wife Deeann Collins of Las Vegas, NV, Phil and wife Sara Collins of Noonday, TX; grandchildren: Jake and Ryan Collins of LaPorte, TX, Megan Collins of Baton Rouge, LA, Ron Darden of Tyler, TX; great-grandchildren: Phillip Darden and Jesse Darden of Tyler, TX; and sister: Mary Lee Barham of Deer Park, TX.
