On March 12, 2011, Diane Terese Shepard Sammons was rewarded for her life-long devotion to God with a place in the hereafter. She was born in El Paso, Texas on October 11, 1936, and was a thirty-nine year resident of the Meadows, Texas at the time of her death. She was the beloved wife of John Sammons, and the devoted mother of five daughters.
She was preceded in death by Sharon Sammons and Terese Maynard, and is survived by Mary Kathryn Sammons, Patricia Anne Ansel, and Bernice Eileen King, all residents of the Houston area. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Sharon and Diane Maynard, Caitlin and Kylie Lohrenz, Chance and Adam Ansel, and Courtney, Kelly, and Caroline King. A beloved wife, partner and companion, mother, and grandmother, Diane’s passing leaves a vacancy in many hearts. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.
A memorial service to remember and honor her life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 21 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 Fifth Street, Missouri City, Texas 77489.
