Minnie Mildred Young Morton

Heaven gained another angel on March 3, 2011, when Minnie Mildred Young Morton passed away.

Mildred was born November 1, 1923, to Minnie Etta Young and Charles Wesley Young in LaRue, Texas.

Mildred met the love of her life, Jesse R. Morton, almost 66 years ago in Athens, Texas where they created a loving home for their family. They then moved to the Sugar Land area where they remained for the past 58 years.

She will be remembered for many talents. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking, fishing and bowling. She was an amazing homemaker and made every event memorable with her home cooked meals.

Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, M. Etta Young and Charles Young; siblings, Eleanor Young, Robert Young, Mary Frances Young and husband, Isreal; son-in-law, Ronnie D. Adler; grandchildren, Justin Lee Padgett and Roy Guzman, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Gayle Adler, Janice Padgett and husband, Lee, Milton Morton and wife, Dianne, and Lesa Tyson; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a. m., Monday, March 7, 2011 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg with Mr. Mike Huss officiating. Interment followed in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.

Visitation was held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 P. M., Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg.
