On Friday, April 9, the Lord called Mildred Vaculik’s name and she stepped into Glory after enjoying a good long life surrounded by a family that loved her dearly. She was born on May 27, 1921 in a rural East Texas community. She moved to Sugar Land in 1946 where she met and married Willie Vaculik and worked in the packing department for Imperial Sugar for 34 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie and her daughter, Patsy Kreusch.
Mildred leaves behind a daughter, Brenda Ashford and husband, Rodney; grandchildren, Jeff Kreusch and wife, Kelly, Justin Ashford and wife, Jennifer, Julie Kreusch, Jodi Weber and husband, Shane; great grandchildren, Jacob and Jordan Kreusch, Justice and Jaden Brown and Jared Ashford; along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 15, 2010 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
Memorial donations may be made in Mildred’s name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 2425 Fountainview, Suite 210, Houston, Texas 77057.
