GLORIA JEAN PAULK WILKINS

GLORIA JEAN PAULK WILKINS, age 78, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Gloria was born on June 5, 1932, in Enid, OK, to Jason C. Paulk and Launa Tribble Davison. Gloria lived life to the fullest. Growing up in Enid, she was a resident of Tulsa, OK, Kansas City, KS, Norman, OK, Bryan, TX, and lived throughout the Houston, TX area, including her current home in Sugar Land, TX.

She was fortunate to have travelled internationally and was at home wherever she went. Her very successful life included her involvement in real estate, politics, and being a friend to all.

Her family was one of her greatest treasures. No one was ever a stranger to Gloria. She never hesitated to help others and always graciously gave of herself.

Gloria’s career as a real estate broker spanned over thirty-five years. She was one of the owners of Re/Max Southwest in the ‘90s and had established her own brokerage of RG Omega for over a decade.

She excelled at solving any challenges that came her way with diplomacy and wisdom. She was currently serving as Compliance Manager for Keller Williams Realty Southwest, where her vast knowledge of the industry provided advice for over 200 agents on a daily basis. She was an icon.

Among her many accomplishments in life, she served the real estate community in many capacities, including being President of the Fort Bend Association of Realtors.

She was the current President of one of the local MUD boards for Riverstone. Her leadership was also valued when she served as Brazos County Chairman of the Republican Party. She was married to Ronald D. Wilkins.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Susan Newell; and her parents.

Gloria is survived by three children; fourteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Gloria will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Arlington National Cemetery, in Arlington, VA, at a future date. On behalf of her friends, family and colleagues, we love you “Mom,” “Moms” and “Gloria”! We were blessed to be a part of your life. You will always be missed…
