Russell Parker Welsh, 51, resident of Bastrop, TX, passed away unexpectedly on Mon. Oct. 1, 2007. Born in Jackson, MS, on Oct. 5, 1955, he was a former native of Baton Rouge, LA, and a well-known, respected local businessman in Bastrop and
Houston, TX, He was president/owner of a nationwide steel erection company he co-founded over thirty years ago. He was a parishioner of Calvary Episcopal Church, Bastrop, TX, member of the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, ColoVista Country Club, The Associated General Contractors of America,
National Federation of Independent Business, and active in many civic and charitable organizations.
Russell is survived by his loving wife and soulmate Rebecca Brzymialkiewicz Welsh, his children, Misty Dawn Welsh, Kelli Lynn Welsh and Riley Parker Welsh, of Houston, TX, and three granddaughters. He was the dearly-beloved son and is also survived by his mother Mary L. Welsh,
native of London, England, his father James Parker Welsh and stepmother Dimple C. Welsh, a brother Darrel James Welsh and wife Barbara B. Welsh, all of Baton Rouge, LA, and a sister Janine Welsh Ramirez of Bastrop, TX, as well as numerous nephews and nieces and a widely-extended family of
relatives and friends in the United States and England.
Russell touched the lives of many people and brought joy and comfort to countless individuals during his short journey on this physical earth. A celebration of his life was conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, which would have been his 52nd birthday, by Reverend Matthew
Zimmerman at Calvary Episcopal Church in Bastrop, TX.
