Funeral Mass for Harriett (Lester) Legendre, 80, of Needville will be held at 10:00 A. M., Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at St. Michaelís Catholic Church in Needville with interment following at St. Michaelís Arch Angel Cemetery (Foster School Road
@ Williams School Road) in Needville. Father James Ramsey will officiate the services.
Visitation was held from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P. M., on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
Harriett was born August 1, 1927 in Houma, Louisiana to Louis Lester and Eva Bergeron Lester. She was an active member of St. Michaelís Catholic Church where she participated in the CCE program and the marriage counseling program. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in
New Orleans. She enjoyed cooking gumbo and other Cajun food. She went to be with the Lord on October 21, 2007 in Richmond.
Harriett is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Eva Lester; siblings, Rosemary Hamilton, Louis Lester, Maeruth Brown, Arthur Lester and Helen Hebert.
She is lovingly survived by her husband of 50 years, Milton J. Legendre, Sr.; Son: Milton Legendre, Jr.; along with numerous nieces, nephews other family members and many friends.
