
Miss Heather Michelle Wallis and Mr.
Byron Luke Albrecht were married August 7, 2004 at half past
six in the evening at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in
Houston, Texas. The Rev. Dr. Gerald B. Hurst of Southminster
Presbyterian Church officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The ceremony music was performed by Mr. Brent Price and Mrs.
Leigh K. Shipman, soloists; Miss Mandy Kung, organist and
Dr. Dan Shipman, trumpeter.
A dinner reception followed at The
Parador, with music provided by The Maria Williams Big Band
and accompanied by David Caceres of The David Caceres Trio.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a
rehearsal dinner at The Petroleum Club. The day before the
wedding, the bride's aunts, Mrs. Jacqueline Washington and
Mrs. Sharon Larkin hosted a bridal party luncheon at
Ouisie's Table.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
John R. Wallis of Sugar Land, Texas. She is the
granddaughter of Mr. Mavis Jack Green and the late Mrs.
Hazel Green of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Sara Wallis and the
late Mr. John Jackson Wallis of Tyler, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
William E. Albrecht of Sugar Land, Texas. He is the grandson
of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Albrecht of Goliad, Texas and Mr.
Walter B. McClung and the late Mrs. Ernestine McClung of
Cuero, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents, and
escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless, ivory,
silk satin Eve of Milady gown. The fitted bodice and flowing
cathedral length train were accented with embroidery and
Austrian crystals. The tiara of Swarovski crystals was
completed by a cathedral length veil which was also trimmed
in Austrian crystals and extended beyond the length of the
train. She carried a hand tied bouquet of white calla
lilies, white roses and white stephanotis accented with
Austrian crystals and seed pearls.
The bride's twin sister, Miss Hillary
Lynn Wallis of Sugar Land, Texas, served as Maid of Honor.
Bridesmaids were Miss Jennifer Larkin and Miss Cassandra
Larkin of Flower Mound, Texas; Miss Lesley Washington of
Fort Worth, Texas; Miss Laura Washington of Fredrick,
Maryland; Miss Erin Martin of Conroe, Texas; and Miss Shelly
Flowers of Memphis, Tennessee. The bridesmaids wore full
length European Silver satin dresses by Bill Levkoff. They
carried hand tied bouquets of lavender calla lilies, cream
roses, and pink antique roses.
Miss Hannah Grace Harper of Houston,
Texas and Miss Madison Price, Miss Savannah Price and Miss
Elizabeth Price all of Enid, Oklahoma, served as flower
girls.
The groom's twin brother, Mr. William
Clay Albrecht of Houston, Texas served his brother as Best
Man. Groomsmen included Mr. Matt Hall of Fort Worth, Texas;
Mr. Steve Combest of Dallas, Texas; Mr. John Hinchey of San
Antonio, Texas; Mr. Zachary Roberts of Houston, Texas; Mr.
Travis Brown of Houston, Texas; and Mr. Patrick Washington
of Jacksonville, Florida. Serving as ushers were Mr. David
Wilson of Round Rock, Texas and Mr. Derek Wilson of Houston,
Texas; Mr. Mac McClung of Cuero, Texas and Mr. Paul Hahn of
Victoria, Texas. Master Miles Douglas Harper IV of Houston,
Texas, served as ring bearer.
The House Party included Mrs. Lisa Wallis
Jordan of Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Aerie Brown of Houston,
Texas. The Scriptures readings were offered by Mrs. Irene
Hahn of Victoria, Texas and Mrs. Lindsey Housel of Sugar
Land, Texas. The memory candle acolyte was Miss Patricia
Sass of Bellaire, Texas.
The bride is a graduate of William P.
Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas and a cum laude
graduate of Texas Christian University with a B.B.A. in
Marketing. She is a member of Chi Omega Sorority, Order of
Omega and Delta Sigma Pi. Heather is employed by Kaplan Test
Prep and Admissions where she performs marketing for the
company's medical, nursing, and international programs.
The groom is a graduate of William P.
Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas and a summa cum
laude graduate of Southern Methodist University where he
earned a B.B.A. in Financial Consulting and a B.A. in
Economics. He is currently a May 2005 graduate candidate of
Rice University pursuing a master of business administration
degree.
Following a honeymoon to Maui and the big
island of Hawaii, Mr. and Mrs. Albrecht reside in Bellaire,
Texas.
