Rabbi Art and Michele Vernon of West Hempstead, New York and Howard and Barbara Stern of Sugar Land are delighted to announce the engagement of their children, Ronit Yael Vernon and Michael Ira Stern.

Ronit graduated cum laude with a degree in sociology from the University of Arizona. She is currently employed by First Magnus Financial Corporation as a mortgage consultant.

Michael is a 1997 graduate of Clements High School. He graduated with honors from Southern Methodist University with degrees in both engineering and mathematics and received his master’s degree in mathematics from SMU. He is currently employed by Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, Arizona.
