
Miss Christina Nichol Stewart and Mr.
Travis Riggle Pichot were united in marriage on Saturday,
August 14, 2004 at four o'clock in the evening at St.
Peter's United Methodist Church in Katy, Texas. The ceremony
was officiated by Bishop Janice Riggle Huie and Reverend
Robert W. Huie, who are also the aunt and uncle of the
groom. The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Cindi
Stewart of Sugar Land. She is the granddaughter of the late
Arthur & Johnnie Craven and Vernon & Jean Stewart of
Houston. The groom is the son of Claude & Cherry Pichot of
Katy. He is the grandson of James & Frankie Riggle of
Beeville and James & Willie Pichot of San Antonio.
The double ring ceremony was a lovely and
touching gathering of family and friends. A reception
followed at The Richmond House in Richmond, Texas. Given in
marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the
bride wore an Audrey Hart design of ivory Italian matte
satin.
Serving as Maids of Honor were Linsey
Anderson and Leanne Lash. Serving as bridesmaids were
Catherine Pearsall and Caroline Bonner, cousins of the bride
and groom. Junior bridesmaids were Anna Pearsall, Jenny
Pearsall and Rosalie Bonner, also cousins of the bride and
groom. Abigail Huie, cousin of the groom served as flower
girl.
Serving as Best Man was Austin Pichot,
brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Travis Stewart, brother
of the bride, Matthew Huie, cousin of the groom and Teo
Ribakovs, friend of the groom. Riley Huie, cousin of the
groom served as ring bearer.
The bride is a graduate of The University
of Texas in Austin where she earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in Microbiology. She is currently working on her PhD
in cancer cell biology at The University of Texas Medical
Branch in Galveston, Texas.
The groom is a graduate of The University
of Texas in Austin where he earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently working
for Bechtel in Houston.
After their honeymoon in Alaska, the
couple will reside in Clear Lake.
