Miss Danielle Suzanne Pennington and Mr. Aart Slikker were joined in marriage on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at five o’clock in the evening in an outdoor ceremony in Kempner Park, Galveston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by The Reverend Kenneth Dimmick, of Trinity Episcopal Church. A reception followed at the historical Garten Verien, with music provided by Chamber Music Unlimited and the Terry Kern Band.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Pennington of Anahuac, Texas, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pennington also of Anahuac, Ms. Ann Hansen of Port Arthur and Mr. Edward Hansen of Gurnee, Illinois.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Slikker of Richmond, Texas and the grandson of Mr. Th.C. v.d. Hoorn and the late Mrs. AM v.d. Hoorn, Mrs. MM. Slikker and the late Mr. Aart Slikker, all of The Netherlands.

Miss Melissa Brown, of San Marcos served as Maid of Honor. Matron of Honor was Mrs. Kelly Lebsock of Fort Worth and Miss Monica Pennington of Anahuac served as a bridesmaid.

Best Man was Mr. Neil Lebsock, of Fort Worth. Mr. Drew Kayes, and Mr. Jason Hyatt, both of Sugar Land, served as groomsmen.
