Aubre Sue Packer and Joshua Ryan Adams were united in marriage on August 20, 2004, at 8:00 p.m. at Parasio Maravilla in Houston, Texas in a candlelight ceremony, officiated by Phil Packer, father of the bride. The grooms's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Ninfa's at Sugar Creek.

The bride wore a Matthew Christopher design, a lovely a-line strapless silk and satin organza with pleated lovers knot on the bodice and a silk taffeta accordion pleated train. A mid-length veil, tiara and chandelier earrings completed her ensemble. She carried a bouquet of red roses, calla lilies and white tulips, with crystals and greenery.

Abby Rivera of Houston, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Paula Lawrence, her college roommate of Marshall, Texas, Sonya Packer, her sister-in-law, of Marquez, Texas, and her new sister-in-law, Laura Street of Jasper. The bridesmaids wore long silk black skirts with a white silk side wrapped blouse, designed by Alfred Angelo and carried red rose bouquets. The flower girls were Anna Belle Packer, niece of the bride, of Marquez, Texas and Kahla Street, niece of the groom of Jasper. They wore long black and white dresses with rose crowns and carried white organza bags with red rose petals.

Groomsmen were college friends, Jordan Reese of Forney, Texas, Allen Ramirez of Marshall, Brad Edge of Sulphur Springs and Josh Packer, brother of the bride, of Marquez.

Howie Howeth, friend of the groom's family and a youth director from Mt. Pleasant said the prayer for the couple. Dr. Jeff Ward and Teresa Ward, extended family members of the Packers, from Bakersfield, California said the opening remarks and coordinated the wedding.

The bride presented her new groom with her True Love Waits ring and the groom sang his bride a song during the lighting of the unity candle.

The couple honeymooned in Palm Springs, California and reside in Marshall, Texas.
