Miss Kristen Marie Ott and Mr. Carl Louis
Laneri III were united in marriage on Saturday, June 24,
2006, at five o’clock in the evening at Christ United
Methodist Church in Sugar Land, Texas. The double-ring
ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Jeff McDonald, with
music provided by Beth McConnell, and vocalists Mr. Russ
Clark and Mr. Mark Brunson. Scripture readings were given by
Mr. Thomas Brockenbush. Following the ceremony, the bride’s
parents hosted a reception at Sugar Creek Country Club with
music provide by DJ’s Unlimited. Family friends Linda Loup
and Linda Pool hosted a luncheon for the bridal party at The
Grille at Sienna on Friday. On the eve of the wedding, the
groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Pappasito’s
Cantina.
The Bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Rodney B. Ott of Missouri City, Texas. She is the
granddaughter of Mrs. Lois Evans and the late Mr. Eddie H.
Evans of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Mr. and Mrs. Alton B.
Ott of Watson, Louisiana. The groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Carl L. Laneri Jr. of Arlington, Texas. He is the
grandson of Mrs. Grace Brockenbush and the late Mr. Charles
A . Brockenbush of Fort Worth, Texas and the late Mr. and
Mrs. Carl L. Laneri Sr. of Fort Worth, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents and
escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless
Casablanca gown of ivory satin. The sweetheart bodice held
alternating layers of satin and organza. The A-line skirt
was edged along the hemline by the same alternating layers
of satin and organza. Satin buttons completed the back of
the gown and extended the length of the chapel train. To
complement her attire, the bride wore a layered illusion
veil held by a narrow band of pearls and crystals and
carried a bouquet of red Freedom roses.
Serving as the bride’s maid of honor was
Miss Casey Ott of Missouri City, Texas, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids included Miss Lyda Smayling of Oakland, California; Miss Lauren Guice of Fort Worth, Texas; and Miss Christa Laneri of
Arlington, Texas, sister of the groom. The Junior Bridesmaid
was Miss Caitlin Laneri of Arlington, Texas, sister of the
groom. The bride's attendants were gowned alike in two-piece
dresses of claret satin. Strapless tops designed with an
asymmetrical waist complemented the long A-line skirts.
Members of the House Party included Miss Dana Haukness of
Houston, Texas and Mrs. Rebecca Campbell of Bartlesville,
Oklahoma.
Serving as the groom’s best man was Brian
Barras of Houston, Texas. Groomsmen included Mr. David Ott
of Missouri City, Texas, brother of the bride; Mr. Theodore
Childers of Houston, Texas; Mr. Michael Kuban of Houston,
Texas; and Mr. Michael Lam of Topeka, Kansas. Serving as
ushers were Mr. Robbie Campbell of Bartlesville, Oklahoma
and Mr. Brian Kostyniak of Arlington, Texas. Mr. Luke
Bohreer of Houston, Texas served as the ring bearer.
The bride is a graduate of Elkins High
School in Missouri City, Texas and Texas A&M University in
College Station, Texas where she received a Bachelor of
Business Administration in Information and Operations
Management. She is employed as a systems analyst by
ConocoPhillips in Houston, Texas.
The groom is a graduate of Nolan Catholic
School in Fort Worth, Texas and Texas A&M University in
College Station, Texas where he received a Bachelor of
Business Administration in Accounting and a Masters of
Science in Information and Operations Management. He is
employed as an Information Technology auditor by Ernst and
Young in Houston, Texas.
Following a honeymoon in Maui and Oahu,
Hawaii, Kristen and Carl will reside in Katy, Texas.
