Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Malek of Missouri City announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Angela Marie, to Curtis Morgan Penn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Penn of Baytown.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Margaret Tarbett of Pasadena, TX and the late James A. Tarbett, and the late Ed and Pauline Malek of Robstown, TX. Angie graduated from Elkins High School in 2001. She attended St. Gregory's University in Shawnee, OK on a soccer scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education. Angie is currently completing her Student Teaching in English for the Seventh Grade Classes at Shawnee Middle School.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Norma Penn of Bristow, OK and the late Frank Penn, and James and Twila Tallent of Bristow, OK. Curtis graduated in 1999 from Barbers Hill High School and attended Stephen F. Austin. In 2003, he transferred to St. Gregory's University with a baseball scholarship. Curtis graduated May, 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities. He is an Assistant Manager for World Acceptance Finance Company in Shawnee, OK.
