Miss Pamela Jean Klekar weds Mr. Cory Aaron Burns

Miss Pamela Jean Klekar and Mr. Cory Aaron Burns were united in marriage on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at four o’clock in the afternoon at New Life Bible Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas. The traditional double ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Dave Stephenson. Music was provided by the Arpeggio String Quartet. Following the ceremony, the bride’s mother hosted a dinner and dance reception at The Atrium at Walnut Glen. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a dinner at the Blue Mesa in Addison.

The bride is the daughter of Janet Klekar of Missouri City and Dennis Klekar of League City. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Leatrice Scholtz and the late Mr. Weldon Scholtz of LaGrange, Texas and Mrs. Emily Klekar and the late Mr. Paul Klekar of Shiner, Texas. The groom is the son of Cris and Nancy Burns of Red Oak, Texas. He is the grandson of Mrs. Pauline Mong and the late Mr. Robert Mong of Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Jeanne Burns and the late Mr. Richard Burns of Duncanville, Texas.

Escorted by her brother, Mr. Todd Klekar, the bride selected an exquisite gown designed by Casablanca. The ivory gown featured a strapless sweetheart neckline and a basque waist, decorated with elaborate silver beadwork. Multi-pleats at the front, sides and back gave fullness to the skirt. Elaborate vines and flowers were hand-embroidered and beaded all along the semi-cathedral train.

Mrs. Elizabeth Pollard of McKinney, Texas served her friend as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Natalie Burns, sister of the groom, of Dallas, Texas and Miss Andrea Scholtz, cousin of the bride, of College Station, Texas. The attendants wore elegant gowns designed by Dessy. The strapless, A-line gowns were burgundy satin with a pale pink sash at the waist that tied in the back and draped to the floor.

Mr. Josh Pollard of McKinney, Texas served his friend as Best Man. Groomsmen were Mr. Todd Klekar, brother of the bride, of Missouri City, Texas and Mr. Tiago Salies, friend of the groom, of Missouri City, Texas.

Ushers were Mr. Jared Harp of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mr. Mike Noble of Grapevine, Texas and Mr. Richard Scholtz of Austin, Texas.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Elkins High School in Missouri City, Texas. She graduated summa cum laude in 2004 from the University of Houston with a double major in Political Science and French. She is currently employed by the North Central Texas Council of Governments as a Public Outreach Specialist in Arlington, Texas. The groom is a 1998 graduate of Red Oak High School. He graduated magna cum laude in 2002 from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently employed by CB&I-TPA as a mechanical engineer in Richardson, Texas. Following their honeymoon in Jamaica, Pamela and Cory will reside in Dallas.
