
Miss Kelli Suzanne Johnson
and Mr. Scott Allen Halstead were united in marriage
December 18, 2004 at five o'clock in the evening at Christ
United Methodist Church in Sugar Land, Texas. Dr. Tom Pace
officiated the double-ring ceremony with music performed by
Mrs. Becky Hamilton, soloist; and Ms. Beth McConnell,
organist. Scripture readings were given by friends of the
couple, Ken and Cindy Kapp of Houston, TX. Following the
ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception at
Sweetwater Country Club with dancing and music provided by
CityWide DJ's. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's
parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Café Adobe.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Johnson of The Woodlands, Texas. She is
the granddaughter of Mrs. Wanda Vincent and the late Mr.
Charles Vincent of Port Arthur, Texas and the late Mr. Frank
Johnson & the late Mrs. Betty Johnson Walters of Livingston,
Texas.
The groom is the son of
Mr. & Mrs. Jimmie Halstead of Pasadena, Texas. He is the
grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Harry Halstead of Wichita Falls,
Texas and the late Mr. Angelo Fagnana and the late Mrs.
Helen Fagnana of Houston, Texas.
Given in marriage by her
parents, and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory
silk satin gown designed by Jasmine. The gown was
beautifully accented with beaded spaghetti straps, elegant
embroidery, and a flowing train. She carried a hand tied
bouquet of white roses.
Miss Carista Brackin of
Kirbyville, Texas, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were
Mrs. Jennifer Johnson of Missouri City, Texas and Mrs. Mary
Vaughan of Pasadena, Texas. Miss Elizabeth Mae Marie
Vaughan, served as flower girl.
Mr. Ryan Hamilton of
Houston, Texas served as the Best Man. Groomsmen included
Mr. Jeff Johnson of Missouri City, Texas and Mr. William
Vaughan, IV of Pasadena, Texas. William Vaughan V, served as
ring bearer.
Kelli is a 1999 graduate
of William P. Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas and
a 2004 graduate of University of Texas-Houston Health
Science Center School of Nursing and is employed by St.
Luke's Episcopal Hospital as a registered nurse. Scott is a
1997 graduate of Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena, Texas
and San Jacinto Community College where he earned his EMT-I
certificate. Scott is employed by Universal Hospital
Services as a service representative.
Following a honeymoon to
Hawaii, Mr. and Mrs. Halstead will reside in Houston, Texas.
