
Ainslie Marie Hermes and First Lt.
Kenneth Michael Poindexter were united in marriage on April
3, 2004 at Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels, Texas.
The bride is the daughter of Bill and Pat
Hermes of New Braunfels, Texas and the granddaughter of
Bessie Green and the late John W. Green Sr. of New Braunfels,
Texas and the late Leo and Linda Hermes of New Braunfels,
Texas.
The groom is the son of Don and Sandra
Poindexter of Missouri City, Texas and the grandson of John
and Wanda Black of Lufkin, Texas, J.D. Beasley of Port
Neches, Texas and Don and LaRetta Poindexter of Nederland,
Texas.
Pastor Ray Still officiated the double
ring ceremony, where the bride was given in marriage by her
father.
The bride wore an ivory wedding gown
adorned with beautifully placed iridescent sequins and
pearls. She carried a hand tied bouquet of softly colored
roses. The bride chose her cousin, Chaney Guthrie as her
maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Megan Ruh, Jennifer
Bartels, Brittnie Green, Kristie Mueck, and Tiffany Linnartz.
They wore coral floor length dresses and carried a small
bouquet of peach and white roses.
The groom wore a United States Air Force
Mess Dress Uniform with his awarded medals and saber. He
chose his brother, David Poindexter as his best man.
Groomsmen were Russell D'Oench, B.J. Hermes, Matt Beasley,
Cody Guthrie, and Chad Guthrie. The groomsmen wore black
tuxedoes with Air Force blue vests and bow ties.
Madison Alexander and Mia Macchia were
the flower girls and Jobee Davenport was the ring bearer.
A reception was held at Eagles Hall in
New Braunfels following the wedding ceremony.
The couple honeymooned on a cruise to
Calica and Cancun, Mexico. They reside in Fort Walton Beach,
Florida.
