Miss Jennifer Eileen Grove and Mr. Blake Edward Mitchell were united in marriage at six in the evening on Saturday March 18, at Christ United Methodist Church, Sugar Land, TX. The Rev. Jeff McDonald officiated the double-ring ceremony. A reception, dinner, and dance followed at Safari Texas Lodge.

Jennifer is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Grove of Sugar Land, TX. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Shanks of Alice, TX. and Mr. Duane Grove of Houston, TX. Blake is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Mitchell of Sugar Land, TX. He is the grandson of Mrs. Melba Mitchell of Houston, TX. and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Lovelace of Gainesville, TX.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, wore a white satin strapless asymmetrical a-line gown with a split lace-up corset back. The gown featured white seed pearls, Swarovski crystals and sequins accented by a scalloped lace on the bodice and an apron back, complete with a chapel train. To make her gown unique, the bride used a hot pink ribbon to lace up the back. She wore an elbow length veil edged with crystals and pearls that was accented by a tiara. She carried a hand tied bouquet of pink peonies, green hypericum berries, hot pink hydrangeas, and green cymbidium orchids.

Serving as Maid of Honor was Melanie Grove of Sugar Land, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jackie Graves, Kendra Lemmons, Christina Koehl, Lauren Wells, and Courtney Simeone, all of Sugar Land. They wore black satin tea length dresses. The Flower Girl was Sydney Bryant of Katy, TX. The Best Man was Chris Mitchell of Sugar Land, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Lance Mitchell and Chris Graves of Sugar Land, Thomas Avinger of Katy, TX, Walker Walmus of Austin, TX, and Ben Mayer of Denton, TX. Travis McLarty and Nick Huth, both of Sugar Land served as ushers. The Ring Bearer was Dylan Bryant of Katy, TX.

Jennifer is a graduate of Clements High School and received her B. S. degree in Early Childhood Education from Texas Tech University. She is currently employed by Lamar Consolidated ISD. Blake is a graduate of Dulles High School and received an associate degree in sound engineering from South Plains College. He is currently employed by Internacional Realty.
