Mr. and Mrs. Terry Gaul of Sugar Land, Texas are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laurie Kathryn, to Matthew Ryan Monroe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Monroe of Amarillo, Texas.

Laurie is a 1997 graduate of William P. Clements High School and a 2001 graduate of Texas A&M University with a BS in Kinesiology-Exercise Science. Laurie will graduate from Texas Women's University - Houston with an MS in Physical Therapy in October 2004.

Matthew is a 1996 graduate of Amarillo High School and a 2001 graduate of Texas A&M University with a BS in Bioenvironmental Science. He graduated in May 2004 with an MS in Environmental Science from West Texas A&M University and is currently employed by the Risk Assessment & Management (RAM) Group in Houston.
