Miss Allison Renee Evans and Mr. William
Brady Bussey were united in marriage on Saturday, October 8,
2005 at half past five at the San Luis Resort in Galveston,
Texas. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Kelly Vaughen.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a
reception at the Grand Ballroom with music provided by Grady
Gaines and the Texas Upsetters. On the eve of the wedding,
the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner and party at
the Galveston Yacht Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Ronald Evans of Missouri City, Texas. She is the
granddaughter of Mrs. Mabel Mcknight and the late William
Mcknight and Mrs. Vera Huwel and the late Mr. Jim Huwel. The
groom is the son of Mrs. Karen Thompson and husband Danny of
Katy, Texas and Mr. Bill Bussey and wife Cynthia of Houston,
Texas. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Spencer
Harper Avis of Houston, Tx and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ollie
W. Bussey of Timpson, Tx.
Given in marriage by her parents and
escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless A-line
gown of ivory English net over ivory satin designed by
Priscilla of Boston. The gown featured beaded French Alencon
lace with silk ribbons over sheer net. Her veil was a
circular two tier veil of ivory tulle trimmed with satin
ribbons.
Mrs. Courtney Calvert of Houston, Texas
served as her Matron of Honor. Maid of Honor was Kaki Foust
of Dallas, Texas. Bridesmaids included Ms. Amy Reed, Mrs.
Stevie Dougherty, Mrs. Lauren Granello, Ms. Leslie Zeidman,
and Ms. Shelby Hutto. Honor attendants were Mrs. Tracy
Clark, Mrs. Lacy Babb, and Ms. Amanda McBay.
Mr. Nick Incrapera served as the best
man. Groomsmen included Mr. Garland Pinson, Mr. Craig
Gilchrist, Mr. Judson Holt, Mr. Bob Jones, Mr. Brent Dishman,
Mr. Jay Gerber, and Mr. Greg Evans. Ushers were Mr. Wade
Calvert, Mr. Ryan Walden, Mr. Jad Muntasser, and Mr. Kevin
Swantkowski. Ring bearers were Colby and Carson Babb, sons
of Lacy and Martin Babb of Roundrock, Tx.
Allison is a graduate of Elkins High
School and Southwest Texas State University. She is a third
grade teacher at Lovett Elementary. Brady is the managing
partner of Lupe Tortilla’s Restaurant.
Following a honeymoon at Los Cabos,
Mexico, the bride and groom will reside in Houston, Texas.
