Miss Nathalie Suzanne Mulhern and Mr. Alexander John Wagner were united in marriage on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at The Houston Yacht Club in Shoreacres, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Tom Pace of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. A reception followed the ceremony at The Houston Yacht Club. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Maggianos.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Mulhern of LaPorte, Texas and the granddaughter of the late Mr. Pete Mulhern and Mrs. Rose Mulhern of Rayville, Louisiana and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Solis of Houston, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Wagner of Houston, Texas and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William August Wagner of St. Louis, Missouri and the late Mr. Jesse Siegel of New York, New York and Mrs. Edith Siegel of Houston, Texas.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a stunning strapless mermaid gown by La Sposa. To complement her gown, she wore a cathedral length veil. She carried a bouquet of white peonies, accented and tied with her maternal grandmother’s Rosary and wore pearls given to her by her paternal grandmother. The ceremony music was provided by the Divisi Strings quartet and vocalist Mr. Earl Alexander, uncle of the bride. Readings were given by Mrs. Katie Bowden, sister-in-law of the bride ; Mrs. Ashley Heisler, friend of the bride and Mr. Daniel Rubenstein, friend of the groom.
Miss Megan Ann Mulhern, sister of the bride served as the Maid of Honor. Miss Jessica Graham Wagner, sister of the groom and Miss Jamie Marie McKenney served as attendants. Mr. John Robert Wagner, father of the groom served as his son’s Best Man. Groomsmen were Dr. Ryan Patrick Goepfert and Mr. Michael Ryan Sims.
Nathalie is a 2002 magna cum laude graduate of LaPorte High School. She attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 2007, magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Nathalie is currently a Project Engineer with Mustang Engineering. Alex graduated cum laude from Clements High School in 2002. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities. He received his Master of Science in Environmental Analysis degree from Rice University in 2010. Alex is employed by HUCO Consulting.
Following their honeymoon in Playa Mujeres, Mexico, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
