The parents of Lauren Rochelle Uhyrek and Daniel Wayne Cooper are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Lauren is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard A. Uhyrek of Meadows Place, Texas. She is a 2004 graduate of Dulles High School, and a 2008 graduate of the University of Houston Downtown, with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. While at UHD, she was a member of Alpha Phi Sigma. Lauren is employed by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office as a detention officer.

Daniel is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Layne Christian of Crosby, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Cooper of Humble, Texas. He is a 1998 graduate of Crosby High School, a 2002 graduate of San Jacinto College with an Associates Degree in Social Science and a 2008 graduate of the University of Houston Downtown with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Daniel is a police officer for the Humble ISD Police Department.

Both Lauren and Daniel are 2010 graduates of UHD Police Academy.

The couple is planning a January wedding in Wallis, Texas, after which they will make their home in Humble.
