Presutti - Findley Wedding


Gianina Presutti and James Findley were united in marriage on October 18, 2008 at two o’clock in the afternoon at St. Laurence Catholic Parish in Sugar Land, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Father Drew Wood. Scripture readings were given by the bride’s uncle, Mr. Lawrence Russo and the groom’s cousin, Ms. Kristen Hurley. Music for the ceremony was provided by soloist Mary Thompson and organist Larry Fontana.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Sugar Creek Country Club, with music provided by A Sensory Sound.

On the eve of the wedding a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s family at CafÈ Adobe in Sugar Land. Earlier that afternoon, a bridesmaid’s luncheon was hosted by the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Pamela Gambon.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Presutti of Sugar Land. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Findley of Houston.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, Gia wore a strapless taffeta & lace fitted A-line gown in spun gold. The Sophia Tolli gown featured a sweetheart neckline, draped bodice with corset back, side pleated detail on skirt, brush train as well as a detachable tulle & lace bustled chapel length train. To complement her gown, the bride wore a chapel length veil in spun gold lined w/crystals. Gia carried a cascade of white orchids, brick lilies and vendela and versilia roses. The bridesmaids were dressed in strapless cinnamon floor length mermaid fitted gowns w/low slung sashes and crystal accents. The groomsmen wore chocolate brown pin-striped tuxedos with mocha vests.

The bride’s sister, Ms. Gloria Presutti served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included Ms. Ashley Presutti, the bride’s youngest sister, Katherine Ruzycki, a close college friend and former roommate, Andria Jackson, a childhood friend and Mardell Turner, also a college friend. Ms. Francesca Fardales, the brides cousin, served as Flower Girl. Serving as “honorary grandmother” was Mrs. Barbara Smith, a longtime friend of the bride’s mother.

Mr. William Findley served his brother as Best Man. Groomsmen were Brent Lovett, Adrian MacInerney, Dennis Kelly, all childhood friends of the groom and Brennon Turner, a friend from college. Mr. Michael Russo, the bride’s cousin, served as Ring Bearer. Serving as Ushers were Vincent Cerrone, Gia’s cousin and Steven Buchheit, a close friend of the Groom’s.

Gia is a 2000 graduate of Clements High School in Sugar Land. She received a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Business from the University of North Texas in 2004. She currently works for JCPenney corporate in Plano, Texas.

James is a 1997 graduate of Westbury High School in Houston. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management with a minor in Business from the University of North Texas. James currently works for the Lending Partners in Plano, Texas.

Following their honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, James and Gia now reside in McKinney, Texas.
