Miss Christina Pistone and Mr. Phillip Barton were united in marriage January 3, 2009 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sugar Land, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by Father Bryan Heyer of St. Anne’s Catholic
Church in Port Lavaca and assisted by Deacon Frank Cromer. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Sugar Land Community Center. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner at Papassitos in Sugar Land.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless dress with a chapel length train made of embroidered lace, crystal beading and sequins accented with a red band and bow. She wore a two tiered fingertip veil with scalloped edges accented
with Swarovski crystals and carried a bouquet composed of red roses.
The bride is the daughter of John and Robin Pistone of Sugar Land. She is the granddaughter of John and Blanche Pistone of Galveston, Texas and Alby and June Godinich of Rockport, Texas. The bride is a graduate of Kempner High School in Sugar Land. She earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in Economics with a minor in Business from Texas A&M University. She is a financial advisor with USAA in San Antonio.
The groom is the son of John and Ruth Barton of Hallettsville. He is the grandson of Fabian and Marion Vajdos of Agua Dulce, Texas and Irene Barton and the late Ben Barton of Sweet Home, Texas. The groom is a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Hallettsville. He earned a
Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University. He is an administrative assistant for the Grand Hyatt Hotel San Antonio.
Maid of Honor was Stephanie Pistone, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Elizabeth Barton, Megan Hinshaw, Erica Ross, Jessica Drewett and Lauren Cates. The flower girls were Avery and Emily Drummond and the ring bearer was Cade Schneider.
The Best Man was Nicholas Barton, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were John Pistone, Jordan Schott, Joseph Greive, Ryan Marbut, and Russell Neal.
Following a honeymoon to Orlando, Florida the couple will reside in San Antonio, Texas.
