Tom and Paula Furtwangler of Katy are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Leigh to Brian Charles Cox, son of Charlie and Dorothy Cox of Sugar Land.

The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of James E. Taylor High School in Katy and in 2003 received her BS in Biology from Texas A&M University in College Station, and her MEd in Biology from Texas State University in San Marcos.  She is a Biology teacher at Dulles High School in Sugar Land.

The prospective groom graduated in 2000 from Kempner High School in Sugar Land and earned his BBA and MPA from the University of Texas in 2005. Brian is employed at Briggs & Veselka Co. as senior associate.
