Travel TimeHard work and lots of planning means big headaches and a tired high school student. As we progress in school the fun never stops, but the work gets harder. I recently hosted my booth at the Festival, which went very well. I learned
that a lot of people would just love to go to Ireland, but never get the chance. Traveling is a great thing, especially when you can learn about other cultures. Sometimes it is hard to fit travel plans into our busy schedules.
I have had some of the worst travel experiences, from travel sickness to very boring car rides. The worst way to travel in my opinion is by car. Regardless of who you are traveling with there are only so many games you can come up with. Board games are always out of the question
because the pieces fly everywhere and videos can only keep you distracted for so long.
The worst travel partners are kids, and I also know that from experience. I used to be the baby that would scream next to people on the plane. There is always one child who decides to torture everyone on the plane for the whole flight. Along with children on planes some adults can
also be quite distracting. I have seen a few interesting passengers, but nothing beats the people you will find on a flight from Ireland.
As much as people have cut down travel in the past few months, I expect to see more people planning local trips and little vacations. If I have not increased Ireland’s tourism revenue after my booth I will be very surprised. There is not much time to go anywhere right now, with
all the busy work we all have to do. It is, although, a good time to dream about a sunny resort, or the noisy babies on a plane. We can say goodbye to vacation dreams for right now, but Thanksgiving is not too far away.
