Spooky EventsWelcome to the spooky edition of my weekly thoughts and events. This week is especially scary because report cards go out and Halloween is coming up. At the Memory Walk this past weekend we had pumpkin painting and decorating, which
the kids always love. Decorating pumpkins is a lot safer than carving them, which I do not really like because of all the slimy junk inside of them.
As well as carving pumpkins, costumes are always a fun part of Halloween. It is really fun to see the new ones that come out each year. This year there are traditional doctor and bumble bee costumes with new additions such as the new masks you can buy to make poke fun at either of
the Presidential candidates. Politics always has to come into the fun holidays to make it a little more interesting.
Trick or treating is the best part of Halloween. All the candy and cavities we can enjoy. Every year I receive an overwhelming amount of Whoppers, which I definitely do not like. Skittles and M&M’s are always a safe bet though. Regardless of how our parents feel about all the
candy I know our dentists’ pockets will be very pleased.
As some things are winding down others are picking up. I know a lot of students will be taking their SAT’s Halloween weekend, which is guaranteed to put a damper on their weekend. It is ok though, we only have four weeks until Thanksgiving Break.
As well as the spooks and treats, tension is high for the next few weeks because of events in the news. Luckily winter events and fall holidays are fast approaching, so we can all take a little breather. Good luck to all the cavities and heavy studying that will happen this week!
