How Scary is it?

I am always talking, usually about useless things, but a small conversation I had sparked a never ending thought in my head. During this brief conversation I was asked “what is the least scary thing in the world?” I proceeded to look around the room and tried to find an item that would have no “scare potential” as I would like to call it.

The first idea that came into my head was a ball, “but what if that ball was flying at your face?” The ball then becomes an extremely scary object. I can be a very nervous person, so it is very difficult to find things that are not scary. Marshmallows, they could choke you. Pillows? You could suffocate you. Everything in this world is somewhat of a threat, it just blows my mind!

Since that discussion I have had the revelation that it may be easier to find THE scariest thing in the world. Well that’s easy, two way mirrors. I know it was not the first thing that popped into your head, because I had to give it some thought too, but it really is the scariest invention ever.

Two way mirrors are an ingenious idea. I am really not sure how they work, one side is a plain mirror and the other side is just like a window. It must be a trick of the light or something. I won’t go too in depth though, because you may get the chills. Ever since I saw a show about criminals and hotel rooms I have always thought about shining a flashlight through mirrors in strange places, because it is a trick they used for checking two way mirrors.

As well as demonstrating how creative I can be with odd questions, this topic also reminded me how many things there really are to ponder in the world. It is a scary thought to realize that every now and then we may be faced with questions we may not know the answer to. Really makes me wish I could carry Google around all the time. Oh wait, we have found a way to do that with iPhones. I love how innovative the world has become.

As far as we have come in the past 20 years we still may never know what the least scary thing in the world is. Through a lot of thinking and consideration I have decided that the least scary thing in the world is the color pink, because it is just so happy. I know I cheated because colors are not really items, but I have exhausted every other idea.

I have just presented you with a question that will make you think; even maybe just for a second, but that was my plan. I have now added another dimension of uncertainty to your life. That is ok though, because at least now we can all wonder together.
