Technology GameA new calendar of events to plan bring new issues such as: calling many people; planning and creating a schedule for the next few months; detailing plans for new projects; and preparing for another year of school.
One issue that has been on my mind, and surely the minds of many others is how do we ever manage our time? With deadlines to meet and places to be it stuns me how difficult it is to create a game plan or layout for upcoming events.
It is no secret that teenagers find it difficult to manage our time, so we have a few helpful tools to help us get the job done. One of our most sacred of these tools is the cell phone, which is by the way another part of us that just was not attached to us at birth. With the
advances of modern day technology you can receive e-mails, reminders, set an alarm, and if you want to you can also call people. We do not rely on our cell phones for everything we do in life, it is just our way of staying on top of things and keeping in touch with necessary contacts.
One item that has become quite useless for my generation is the watch, which will I assume one day become extinct. We all use our digital devices to tell us the time, and quite honestly a strap wrapped around our wrist is quite uncomfortable. Satellite clocks and the likes will
only become more advanced, and are still quite useful, but will probably one day be replaced by pocket handheld computers of the future.
One item I am quite looking forward to, which I have seen advertised in other countries, is the PDA with a hologram screen that pops out at you. We cannot get enough of new technology, and this by far would be the best, considering it would be like witnessing a 3D movie any time
you want.
Keeping in touch with technology and the future, it is our generations turn to revolutionize planning and communication. We are already using our computers and social networking web sites to become more connected than anyone 20 years ago could never have imagined. We may be the kicked back, lazy
generation right now, but when it comes to keeping in contact and making technology more compact, we will be ahead of the game.
