Texas Summer
The summer sun is bringing in some fun summer prospects, such as barbeque flavors and some valuable rest time. Meanwhile we all are all winding down for what will be our last few weeks of the 2007-2008 school year, and an exciting change of pace for all of the seniors. For
some, the summer might bring new paces in relationships or even some break-ups; you could call it summer-love syndrome. This seems to happen around this time of year, and always brings about a lot of changes in people’s lives. But, while all this confusion is happening, it leaves me to wonder
how many summer dresses I will need for the great sunny days we have coming up.
Taking a step in the right direction for my summer outfit collection I revamped my summer wardrobe with a few light dresses that really do take the weight off my shoulders, so to speak, and give me the chance to put away some heavy winter clothing. One thing I now know to consider
is to not wear dresses on windy days, because even though it might be nice outside, no one wants to see my sunny side while I’m walking out a door, but I don’t think that story needs much explaining. I personally love polka dots and am very excited about pastel colors at the moment, light
pretty outfits are always great way to brighten up your day, and even your closet.
This weekend I will be attending my first Texas wedding, which will be a wonderful experience, and also a very happy one for the beautiful bride to be. Weddings, along with births are some of the most beautiful events, because they really are about families coming together to
celebrate new beginnings, plus the great food that you get to enjoy. Of course it is a great time of year for a wedding because it’s just starting to warm up, and it’s just sunny enough for everyone to enjoy the sun. Of course I have considered the sudden breeze potential when I picked out my
dress for the event, but overall I expect it to be a great experience that will teach me some new things about Texas tradition.
As this week comes to a close I am very excited to start thinking about the freedom of summer, and also some great upcoming events. As well as personal events there are also community activities to definitely get excited about. I am going to take the beautiful weather as an
invitation to get outside and enjoy all these activities, and enjoy the Texas heat while it’s still cool enough to step outside. Have a great week, and enjoy the summer atmosphere!
