Spring ChangesSpring time is all about new beginnings and baby chicks, and all sorts of exiting things, but the most exciting thing is the weather change. I’m seeing a lot of sunburned faces around, which means more of us are soaking up that
fresh and sunny weather. Along with nice weather, Mother’s Day was this past weekend, and I must say, every restaurant in the world was absolutely packed on Sunday. The line for take-out food was literally 30 minutes to an hour long, I can’t imagine what eating in the restaurants would have
been like. There is also an exciting three weeks of school left, not including exams, which means summer fun planning!
The cutest thing about spring is the baby animals, and all the new life, such as little caterpillars. We currently own a family of little tadpoles, of which my little sister is very proud of, and are starting to look more like frogs every day. It is actually really cool to see
them start out as little dark green things swimming around that transform into lighter green things with spots. They look kinda cute right now, but I don’t think they’re gonna look that way for much longer. Regardless of strange looking tadpoles, the fresh beginnings of spring and the
transformations are actually really cool to see. I also hope I don’t almost knock over their cup like a did last weekend, the last thing we need is a dead family of tadpoles and a crying seven-year-old.
As the school year comes to a close, so does the high school experience for a lot of seniors. They’re pretty lucky, going into the grown up world and achieving big goals like becoming president or being personal chefs for famous people. I personally do not like the idea of the big
scary world that we are waiting to be thrown into as I don’t think the world is ready for me just yet. On the other hand, I am very excited to finish up my junior year and take their place as a senior and finish up my high school career. Summer plans are coming into effect, and I cannot wait
to share my experiences from Ireland and the Hill Country when I go out there.
Everybody, get your brains in gear for the last few weeks of school; I know mine has already run out of steam, but hopefully we can keep it going. I will keep you updated on the life span of our growing frogs, as I continue to keep away from them so I don’t cause any early deaths.
I hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day, and even got some nice surprises from your family, hopefully this nice weather will be here to stay!
