Over the past few weeks I have been looking around and noticing that a lot of people seem to have found a boyfriend or girlfriend for the cold winter. I have a suspicion that everyone’s mental body clocks seem to be synchronized when it comes
to dating. The weather always matches the happy couples, even if its raining outside you can definitely spot lots of blissful couples sharing the winter air.
I like to think that these winter relationships will be long and ever-lasting, although I haven’t come across any magic potions that make relationships easy, so maybe this goal is a little far fetched. There must be some way that everyone can keep their thoughts on the same track
to keep a continuum of happy relationships, right?
The weather is definitely just right for finding someone to share an arm with while walking around Fort Bend. Sure, it doesn’t snow very often here, but it’s still a great romantic setting for budding love. The radio stations are still playing catchy songs from the winter break
that sound great in a boyfriend’s truck. Plus, it’s a great time to test out all the new restaurants that pop up and have a romantic date.
An amusing aspect of the new budding relationships is the host of boys being dragged into the mall by their after Christmas sale-seeking girlfriends. I personally applaud the girls that manage to keep their boyfriends in the mall for more than 20 minutes, quite an accomplishment.
Of course there are the married men that, well just don’t have much of a choice.
My prediction is that as it heats up in the next few weeks a lot of lovers will decide to walk alone for a while. But I hope to begin a chain reaction of people who decide to hold onto their winter lovers until the summer, or at least spring break. Enjoy the winter season while
the cool weather is still around, and if love hasn’t knocked at your door yet, the sales can keep you happy.
