Jessie Joehlin Morse


Jessie Joehlin Morse, age 91, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and the oldest surviving native resident of Stafford, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2002. Born April 15, 1911, she was affectionately known as "Granny" to all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons, Robert E. Morse and wife Pauline, Tommy L. Morse and wife Marita; daughters, Dollie Jones and husband Billy, Mary L. Barta and husband Bobby, Rebecca Sue Cooksey and husband Tom, Jessie Paulette Morris and husband Steve, Cathaleen Allen and step-daughter, Frances Sheffield; 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many other loving relatives. Visitation was Saturday, May 4, 2002, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Earthman Funeral Directors Southwest, 12555 South Kirkwood, Stafford. Funeral service was Sunday, May 5, 2002, 2:00 p.m., Chapel of Earthman Funeral Directors Southwest. Interment followe at Stafford City Cemetary.
