Franklin Clark Reece, 85, died Wednesday, April
24, 2002 at a local hospital. A native of Parkersburg, West
Virginia, he lived in Sugar Land for the past few years. He was a
member and a very active in Church and Sunday School at the First
United Methodist Church in Missouri City. He served in the U.S.
Army and was employed as a civilian in the Civil Service Civil
Department of Defense for 30 years when he retired in 1973.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Reece of
Sugar Land; three daughters, Linda Mazza of Hockley, Texas, Janet
Cochran and husband Bain of Tijeras, New Mexico, Marilyn Mitchell
and husband George of Daphne, Alabama; two sons, David Reece and
wife Candace and Greg Reece and wife Hazle, all of Sugar Land;
eleven grandchildren, Stacey and Greg Grosjean, Jamie and Travis
Cochran, Britt and Kurt Reece, Remington and Halston Reece, and
Chase, Ali, and Taylor Mitchell; two great grandchildren, Hayley
and Gabrielle Grosjean. Preceded in death by two brothers, Paul
and Howard Reece.
Services were held Saturday, April 27, 2002 in
the Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home Chapel, with internment
following in the Mission Memorial Mausoleum. The Reverends Richard
Burnham and Barbara Robertson officiated.
