So, ‘tis the season and all that stuff, so why on earth would police take such a dim view of a little window shopping? Well, let’s see...

About 4:40 - in the morning - a Richmond patrol officer noticed a man wandering through the parking lot of an apartment complex…looking into car windows. The officer stopped the man and they chatted…first and probably foremost was the question…Hey buddy, what’s with the long knife sticking out of your jacket?

Further investigation revealed that “knifeman” was also in possession of several screwdrivers. Hum. Now, this tool pack’n fool was not a mechanic nor was there a stranded motorist in need of assistance in the parking lot during the predawn hours. Oops, so there goes the mechanic theory….

Did we mention that this wantabe mechanic has a past history of criminal type behavior and was well known by Richmond police? Yeah, well, he did and now has added some more charges to the list.

No more window shopping … at least till after bail, buddy.
