Sugar Land man tries to hit SL officer |

Sunday morning, December 12, about 10:30 am., a Sugar Land police officer was directing traffic near the intersection of Sweetwater Boulevard and Palm Royale. According to police, James B. Coglin, 59, of the 3400 block of Amphora Circle tried to hit the officer. A brief pursuit ensued, leading officers to Coglin’s home. Reportedly, once Coglin got his car into his garage, he grabbed a shovel and began menacing the pursuing officers. Coglin was tased and taken into custody without further incident. James B. Coglin faces three counts of Aggravated Assault and one count of Evading Arrest. |
